DomSpain

Spain

​DomSpain is an adult and vocational education and training centre that provides educational services and supports project design, management, and implementation for public and private sectors at local and regional levels. In the tourism sector, DomSpain has led and participated in numerous projects, such as “Guide me Green”, “AGORA”, “Food Zone”, and “ENFORCE”, focusing on sustainable tourism, regenerative practices, and the integration of local communities.

EXPECTATIONS

DomSpain expects the CB Albania project to strengthen its role as a key player in capacity building for sustainable tourism. The organisation aims to leverage its expertise in VET training, digital innovation, and green skills development to support Albanian educators and SMEs in adopting circular economy principles. DomSpain anticipates expanding its network, enhancing its methodologies for sustainability-focused training, and reinforcing its position in EU-funded tourism and education projects.

ITKAM

Germany

The Italian Chamber of Commerce for Germany (ITKAM) is a German registered non-profit bilateral association, founded 1911. It’s core business is the promotion of economic relations between Italy and Germany. ITKAM counts over 400 member companies and provides around 500 Italian and German companies with business support every year. In additon, ITKAM is and has been active in a plethora of European projects. Here, digitalisation and sustainability are key principles. ITKAM’s thematic expertise lies particularly with entrepreneurial support, learning mobilities, and training.

EXPECTATIONS

ITKAM is happy to participate in this project aiming at increasing the sustainability of tourism in Albania, especially since both tourism and sustainability are key areas of our work. We are most looking forward to gaining insight into the business side as well as the exchange of knowledge and best practices with our partners.

EURAKOM

France

EURAKOM is a consultancy, a cross- sectoral ideas and project lab, an EU affairs specialist and a one stop shop for sustainable and regenerative tourism development. With a strong expertise in European affairs, EURAKOM operates at the intersection of regulatory frameworks and practical implementation. Having evolved into an integrated platform for sustainable and regenerative tourism, EURAKOM collaborates with diverse stakeholders to design and implement innovative solutions that enhance local economies, preserve cultural and natural heritage, and support community-driven tourism initiatives.

 

EXPECTATIONS

EURAKOM first and foremost expects to contribute to the skills development of local tourism ecosystems in Albania while at the same time boosting its internal capacity for collaboration with third countries not currently members of the EU. Furthermore, the project provides staff with the opportunity to strengthen its current expertise in the field of the circular economy applied to the tourism sector and explore the relationship with regenerative principles in which EURAKOM has been specialising during recent years. EURAKOM also sees this project as a way to expand its network of partners and refine its methodologies for integrating circular and regenerative practices into tourism strategies. This involvement reinforces EURAKOM’s position as a leader in regenerative tourism while generating new insights applicable to future projects in the Balkans and other parts of the world.

 

 

 

AULEDA

Albania

Auleda is an Agency that provides services and implements initiatives and projects for the social, economic, cultural and environmental development of the Vlora Region with the aim of consolidating resources, skills and competencies according to the principles of human development. Auleda is actively involved in helping the VET sector in the Vlora region, but not only. Auleda staff has been active in supporting various VET providers in increasing their infrastructural capacities, expanding and improving curricula, offering mobility for trainers and staff, but also for VET trainees. In the circular economy and tourism sector it has participated in numerous projects such as “BLUEQ”, “ABBA”, “SHIPMENTT”, “CREATURES”.

EXPECTATIONS

The organisation will be able to improve its connections to VET providers in the tourism sector to support their activities within the tourism ecosystem. Auleda will also benefit from having a more in-depth knowledge about circular economy principles which it can pass on to the community in which it offers its services.

QFPP Vlore

Albania

Public Vocational Training Center of Vlora is an institution that is part of the system of the Ministry of Finance and Economy and subordinate to the National Agency for Employment and Skills. This center carries out its activity in the field of vocational training within the territory of the Vlora District. The center aims to provide vocational training and qualification of individuals, in support of general state policies and in favor of freely chosen employment, as well as professional counseling and guidance. The courses develop theoretical part of the curricula in the center and practical part in our partner businesses. The curricula are adapted to the demands of the labor market.

EXPECTATIONS

Public Vocational Training Center of Vlora aims to integrate the circular economy into the course programs it develops. Green skills are very essential for sustainability in the tourism sector and beyond. Programs adapted to the demands of the labor market should also include circular economy modules.

CCI TIRANA

Albania

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tirana (CCIT) is an independent, non-profit organisation operating under Law No. 9640, passed by the Albanian Parliament on 09.11.2006. As the country’s largest and most influential business organisation, CCIT advocates for the economic interests of its members, representing them at both national and international levels.

CCIT provides essential services, including export facilitation, business promotion, networking opportunities, and the implementation of projects. It also organises training programmes, trade fairs, and exhibitions to support business growth. CCIT maintains a global presence with representation offices in countries such as South Africa, the UK, Canada, China, the USA, Russia, Slovenia, Turkey, and Spain. Additionally, CCIT is a member of organisations like ICC, ASCAME, and BSEC.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tirana is excited to be part of the Circular Tourism Project in Albania. With Tourism as a strategic investment sector in Albania, we are eager to learn more about the business side of sustainable tourism and gain valuable insights into the business aspects of sustainable tourism, while fostering the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and best practices with our esteemed partners. Shkolla Antoni Athanas

The “Antoni Athanas” Vocational High School in Sarandë is a public institution that offers Vocational Education and Training in two academic fields, Hotel Tourism and Business Economics for young people aged 15-22 in the following qualifications: Cuisine, Pastry, Hotel and Restaurant Services and Accounting.

At the end of the 4-year study cycle, students are ready to serve in the private and public sectors in the field of Hotel Tourism and economic services as certified specialists.

In order to achieve an adaptation of the school’s curricula to the demands of the labour market, the school has a network of local and regional partners to cover the needs of the market for this category of specialists and ensure the employment of young people, which is the final goal of the school.

EXPECTATIONS

1.Increasing professional capacities for students and staff for circular and sustainable tourism.

2. Strengthening cooperation with local actors and businesses to coordinate teaching process in school with the needs of the labour market according to targeted qualifications.

3. Exchange of experiences with schools and small businesses with positive experiences to increase capacities in the field of sustainable tourism.

4. Creating a digital and green strategy for the school, teachers and our business partners which will help us provide sustainable services in the field of tourism.
